- Titer determination : you have a viral stock and you need to determine its infectious titer, this service will answer. We do perform a titration based on effective cytopathic effect, hence, defective particles are eliminated from counting. An internal standard is used to ensure test accuracy.
- Long-term storage of Baculovirus clones : for this service, titrated samples of your clones are prepared in a specific solution to allow very long-term storage (over 10 years) without freezing (4°C), remaining ready to use at any time. This is of particular importance when serum-free media are used, at least some of them are effectively deleterious and result in a sharp drop of infectious titer within weeks.
- Another option for clone storage consists in viral DNA preparation and storage at -20°C, which might be preferred in some cases.
